The Movie: 1917

1917 tells the story of two soldiers who are tasked with delivering an important message that will affect the lives of soldiers during World War I. During World War I, British soldiers Lance Corporal Schofield and Lance Corporal Blake are assigned a seemingly impossible mission. Their mission is to cross enemy territory in a race against time and deliver a message that will save hundreds of soldiers’ lives. Blake’s brother is one of the soldiers who can be rescued.

The Movie: The Martian

An astronaut becomes stranded on Mars in a task after his team assume him dead. But Watney is alive and finds himself alone on Mars. With his limited resources, he uses his ingenuity and endurance to find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. NASA and international scientists work tirelessly millions of miles away to bring this ‘Martian’ home, while his teammates face a dangerous decision.

The Movie: Wall-E

The movie takes place far away from the present.  The movie depicts human beings leaving Earth to live on another planet due to excessive pollution. Wall-E, a cute robot, is given the task of cleaning up the trash-strewn world. The arrival of another robot, Eve, ends Wall-E’s loneliness when he creates a new world for himself out of the garbage left by humans. The adventure of Wall-E, who goes on various adventures after meeting Eve, is exciting. The movie won an Oscar for best animated film that year when it was released in 2008.

The Movie: The Truman Show

Truman has a beautiful wife and a happy life until one day he sees his father, whom he thought was dead, on the street. He is sure that he has seen his father, but the man has suddenly disappeared. Truman will realize something is wrong and try to figure out whether his life is real or not as he encounters various mysterious moments over the next few days. The movie, which was released in 1998, stars Jim Carrey, Ed Harris, and Laura Linney. Jim Carrey’s extraordinary performance enhances the beauty of the movie.

Cocoa Balls

Ingredients

  • 16 dates (soaked in hot water)
  • 1 glass of raw almonds
  • 1 glass of raw hazelnuts
  • 2 tbsp of cocoa

Directions:

Remove the stone and cut the dates into small pieces after they have soaked in hot water for 2-3 hours. Put the cut dates into a mixing bowl.

Grind the almonds and hazelnuts in a blender until powdery.

Add the ground hazelnuts and almonds to the bowl with the dates and knead well.

Put the cocoa on a plate.

 

Pick walnut-sized pieces from the mix and coat them in cocoa. Cocoa balls are ready. Bon Appétit!

Ingredients:
  • 1 Deveci Pear
    1 Lemon
    Walnut-sized ginger

Directions:
Squeeze the juice of 1 Deveci pear, 1 peeled lemon and peeled walnut-sized ginger in a fruit and vegetable juicer, your detox drink is ready.

-Russia develops a medicine to treat coronavirus
Russia’s Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) has announced the development of a drug to treat the novel coronavirus. The treatment scheme for coronavirus infection was developed on the basis of the malaria drug Mefloquine, according to the agency, and the drug would provide an effective treatment for patients with coronavirus infections of varying severity, agency’s head said .

-US approves coronavirus blood test
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has reportedly approved the “emergency use” of a blood test that measures antibody levels in the blood to detect the novel coronavirus. Livescience.com reported that the FDA sent its approval document for the blood test produced by ‘Cellex’ to the company on April 1.
 
-Coronavirus vaccine effective in rats

Dr. Ergin Koçyıldırım, a member of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine faculty, announced the development of a new vaccine. Dr. Koçyıldırım said on his Twitter account that the vaccine has shown success on rats and that they are waiting for approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for human tests.

-93-year-old patient discharged to applause after beating coronavirus
Fundació St Hospital in Catalonia, Spain, announced the recovery of a 93-year-old male patient treated for coronavirus. On its social media account, the hospital shared the moments when health workers applauded the discharged patient. A similar story broke last week in Italy, where 102-year-old Italian Italica Grondona was discharged after being treated for the coronavirus.

-Senegal to continue hydroxychloroquine treatment in Covid-19
Moussa Seydi, Head of the Infectious Diseases Department at Fann Hospital in Senegal, where Covid-19 cases are treated, explained that with their permission, they used hydrochloroquine in the treatment of some patients. Noting that they observed that these patients recovered faster, Seydi stated that they will continue to use hydrocichloroquine in the treatment of Covid-19.
