Our awareness project on bone marrow donation, which began in 2021 under the leadership of GEN, reached 5 million people in 2021-2022 through various media and channels.
Starting Point of the Project
Anyone can be a hero one day…
Not giving up on bone marrow donation and becoming a donor is one of the most important issues. In response to the decrease in bone marrow donations during the pandemic, we attempted to influence public opinion through our social media accounts, website, and awareness videos starring celebrities.
Firstly, names like Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çetiner, Hatice Şendil, Fırat Tanış, Eser Yenenler, Altay, Ekin Olcayto, Prof. Dr. Emrah Safa Gürkan, Uğur Önver, Sinem Güven, Selda Hasret Arslan, Prof. Dr. Murat Aksoy, Burak Sağyaşar, Nil Günal, who participated in our project, voluntarily supported us with their posts.
We also supported three different donors’ stories with our “Kahramanlar Anlatıyor (Heroes Speak Out)” videos, which emphasize the importance of donation for people who are hesitant to donate.
“Gelin Tanış Olalım” with Fırat Tanış for Bone Marrow Donation
We organized the play “Gelin Tanış Olalım” in Ankara in 2022 to raise awareness for bone marrow donation with Fırat Tanış, and we delivered an awareness message to an audience of approximately 1000 people.
